This is or in the style of a Japanese mid century banko ware round hanging wall pocket vase still showing old wooden beads, frayed threads attached, and illegible mark. This banko hanging vase is in a hunter green background with 2 irises in the front and 3 irises on the other side. Very vintage signed Lillian Pines sterling fan pin. A contemporary of Mary Gage, as they both died a year apart from each other in the early mid 90's. While this maker was born in New Hampshire, Mary Gage died in nearby Maine. This fan style is her familiar motif using applied silver balls and curly Qs. Stamped LILLIAN PINES STERLING in back of one of the 1 1/2" fans connected with a 5 1/2 and 6" flat "S" chain. Each has a working safety clasp pinback and weighs a total of 23 Grams...
