Deeply chased scroll work. With the mark last used in 1896 by F M Whiting to be changed to Frank M Whiting Co of North Attleboro MA, one finds this sterling silver bypass napkin ring or could it double as a baby bracelet? You can find the maker's mark of what appears to be a winged griffin? Please see page 367 of Schiffer's Revised Fourth Edition of Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers.

SOLD. Called a Perfume button because a Victorian lady could drop a couple of drops of her favorite parfum on the velvet. SIZE: 1 1/2" (39mm) diam. COLOR: Red tinted & red velvet background CONDITION: Very good, right amount of tint off back rim. COMPOSITION: Tinted pierced brass & red fabric, brass self shank, MOTIF: bird on berry branch. This 72.8 grams sterling quintessential Art Nouveau oversized 4.5" brooch is most likely the boldest, heaviest Unger Bros brooch on the net. This circa 1900 "C" catch sash buckle ornament pin with "hasp" is marked: "Sterling 925 Fine" Unger Brothers. They were known for their "repousse" look on thick silver. Many of their pieces are unmarked, making this a very collectible piece. Very fine condition with slightly wavy pin stem, perfect for this age.

Three lobed shamrocks happily travel around the parameter of this circa 1900 brass sash buckle pin ornament with a faux hasp and early C catch. While these wear worn then on waist sashes to give the appearance of a buckle, their versatility allows one to wear them on any article of clothing.
Just under 3" X 2 1/8 and weighs a sturdy 1 oz or 29 Grams. Lots of rich patina! Lovely pre owned antique condition.

REPLY: Available and quite sharp. Vintage ornate granulated chased applied rope silver metal work dagger, sheath and chain scarf hair pin tie clip. The blade edges were made wavy.
Simply stamped: 5 and 900 (90% compared to 92.5% for sterling) presumably for the silver content as it tests at least that. Just under 2 1/2". Super condition with decades of rich patina.

While this is Sold, nourish your need to collect antique buttons by clicking: Home at upper right then search: button. As all Art Nouveau even in the button collecting area, that era is thinly represented. Seen in the BBB: 1 1/4" GIBSON GIRL Picture Button with flat back and 2 air vent openings for heated air escape when made. It takes a strong loupe to see very little brass showing through the silver between 11 & 12 O'Clock. Sold, no price, no info please.

Lot (A) This festive box set has red green "EOD" art glass stones that were often favored by George Steere and similar art glass was made by Leo Popper. Still in the box are these vintage antique Arts & Crafts era red green foil with gold fleck cabs bezel set goose neck cufflinks with football bean backs.
