This brass necklace is Circa 1870 with one genuine Egyptian scarab beetle showing it's multi green copper 'metallic' looking iridescent hues still present after these 130 years! Real critter's shell is claw set in a very ornate front & back brass mounting pendant attached to original chain. The highly ornate pendant portion has such lovely Egyptian symbols and designs that one would say it looks very Art Deco, as that era too celebrated that country's motifs. C 1900 2 piece Buckle Butterfly Shape depicting An Egyptian Lady Profile with a Cleopatra Headdress and Cobra Snake Motif in Heavy Silver Plating on Brass that has been Die Stamped to resemble Repousse. 2"X3" Wide. A small blue lace agate was added to the 1 1/2" charm. All metal is precious (never is plated cable used here!)and is carefully shaped through each bead to deter against loss. Both this metal and the coral's value keeps going up. The latter due to conservationists' continued restrictions...

These punches are the N A silversmiths' most valued tools, as these too are often handmade, therefore no 2 punched designs are alike. The Turquoise 9mm Cab is Green with age and it's matrix appear as if fine lines yet it is firmly bezeled in with rope then balls around it and very low priced. 2 1/8" X 5/8" and has not been polished...

Look carefully as this may well be a very early as found example of a Victorian smaller neck Barrel Clasp Graduated Faceted from 8 to 17 mm Rich Red Cherry Amber choker bead necklace. It appears that at some early point the Original 14.5" choker was made longer to 16" when one of the earlier owners may have added eight 6mm faceted citrine color cut glass beads, still retaining its early super condition cherry amber barrel clasp.
