Bird doll motif. Pre assay era Made in Mexico bird pin brooch. Early - tested at least sterling - colossal 4 3/4" north to south with 2 turquoise beads. This figural exhibits flowers in the style of Fred Davis or Matilde Poulat. Repousse and chase workmanship.
The native peoples were known to make dolls representing the local animals for their children to play. Today those same children are being taught the value in Nature Tourism...

Vintage Spratling era reminding one of Aguilar, et al, hand tooled dense pin brooch with a 6mm green ish turquoise cab simply stamped: MEXICO SILVER. Although could be a higher content - the weight is dense as with many early pre assay jewelry. Early wide C catch. By one of Spratling's or Aguilar's contemporary silversmiths no doubt.
Just under 2 1/2" X 1 1/4" and just under 1/2 ounce on a postal scale. Rich unpolished pre owned vintage condition...

Vintage mini mantilla comb? Reminding one of Aguilar scroll work. A Taxco contemporary of Spratling or Castillo? Beautifully hand cut unmarked yet tested at least sterling, but could be higher due to its density.

The chased seahorse, coral and other sea life motifs appear to be applied on to a slightly convex 55mm (2 1/8") round

The hand wrought "cage like" pendant holds a 9mm undrilled jade jadeite or nephrite orb then ends with a chain tassel for a total of 1.5".
The 17" chain ends in a pesky old style spring ring clasp that is marked sterling. Needs a good polishing...

This one has a beautiful bezel set pierced, etched green 20 x 15mm Jadeite gem stone and marked Sterling.
3.5" long when sheathed with a 1.75"" blade and weighs a nice.7 oz.

Vintage unsigned unmarked yet tested sterling silver Mission style bail holding an odd faceted light as a feather amber pendant on newer 21" sterling chain.
The amber piece is Just under 2 1/2" X 1 1/8 @ widest while the large bench made bail adds another 3/8". Mystery maker: Vintage silver tested unsigned unmarked Nouveau Deco Arts Crafts era scarab cabs A or B ring with applied foliate reminding one of Doris Cliff, Ms. French by the first and maybe European (B). This 72.8 grams sterling quintessential Art Nouveau oversized 4.5" brooch is most likely the boldest, heaviest Unger Bros brooch on the net. This circa 1900 "C" catch sash buckle ornament pin with "hasp" is marked: "Sterling 925 Fine" Unger Brothers. They were known for their "repousse" look on thick silver. Many of their pieces are unmarked, making this a very collectible piece. Very fine condition with slightly wavy pin stem, perfect for this age.
