A senor doll motif. Vintage circa 1945 sterling silver pin brooch as a pre assay era figural man with sombrero carrying a crate of 'tomatoes' stamped: SILV MEX - testing at least 90%, tho often these are higher. No doubt by a talented Taxco Mexico Mexican silversmith working in repousse holloware.
The native peoples have been known to make dolls as teaching tools for their children to play...

Vintage Signed Sterling Silver 5 dome pin brooch with "C" catch marked: MAISEL'S STERLING for the Albuquerque New Mexico maker of Native American jewelry of years past. It is 2 3/8" X 1/2" @ widest, this being the smallest dome at 10mm while the mid one is 13mm. Slightest hint of a very shallow dimple that even the camera won't pick up and the "C" catch is a bit askew yet very secure.
Similar seen recently on Jane Russell in an old black and white western movie...

Vintage silver pin and earring set signed and stamped with the maker's mark as: A & Z STERLING which was founded by Carl Anshen & Saul Zeitlin in 1905 in nearby Providence RI.
These well made beautiful "pinched" leaf motif screwback rhodium plated pieces date to mid 20th Century and are in very nice, probably never worn and in No issues condition.

The ornate shank is original to the piece. This foliate design has been seen on some signed Peruzzi; the Italian one using 80% or 800, while the American using 925 sterling.

c 1930 not commonly found hand made sterling silver articulated pin in a fan and dangle basket design marked "Lillian Pines" and Sterling. She was a contemporary of Mary Gage. Unmarked unsigned tested sterling silver pendant necklace with old spring ring closure. Unsigned maybe Arts Crafts or Art Deco era, yet mostly hand made in the Modernism and Arts Crafts tradition. The hand wrought "cage like" pendant holds a 9mm undrilled jade jadeite or nephrite orb then ends with a chain tassel for a total of 1.5".
The 17" chain ends in a pesky old style spring ring clasp that is marked sterling. Needs a good polishing.

Vintage Spratling era reminding one of Aguilar, et al, hand tooled dense pin brooch with a 6mm green ish turquoise cab simply stamped: MEXICO SILVER. Bird doll motif. Pre assay era Made in Mexico bird pin brooch. Early - tested at least sterling - colossal 4 3/4" north to south with 2 turquoise beads. This figural exhibits flowers in the style of Fred Davis or Matilde Poulat. Repousse and chase workmanship.
The native peoples were known to make dolls representing the local animals for their children to play. Today those same children are being taught the value in Nature Tourism.

Reply at end of description. This type of sterling two piece sword with scabbard brooch pin has been made in Victorian, Art Nouveau, Edwardian and Deco periods, in many different countries, by many different jewelry makers.
This one has a beautiful bezel set pierced, etched green 20 x 15mm Jadeite gem stone and marked Sterling.
3.5" long when sheathed with a 1.75"" blade and weighs a nice.7 oz.

Vintage unsigned unmarked yet tested sterling silver Mission style bail holding an odd faceted light as a feather amber pendant on newer 21" sterling chain.
The amber piece is Just under 2 1/2" X 1 1/8 @ widest while the large bench made bail adds another 3/8". Vintage Antique 19th or Early 20th Century Unmarked Unsigned 16.5" silver choker necklace with 19 reticulated solid not stamped stations and 6 simulated blue lapiz lapis art glass beads with gold glittery mixed in. Beads are in 3 sizes (5 to 12mm). Nice old barrel closure catch clasp. This 72.8 grams sterling quintessential Art Nouveau oversized 4.5" brooch is most likely the boldest, heaviest Unger Bros brooch on the net. This circa 1900 "C" catch sash buckle ornament pin with "hasp" is marked: "Sterling 925 Fine" Unger Brothers. They were known for their "repousse" look on thick silver. Many of their pieces are unmarked, making this a very collectible piece. Very fine condition with slightly wavy pin stem, perfect for this age.
