SOLD. 1925 Art Deco camphor frosted satin surface oval 30mm x 22mm glass stone, with a 5 point star, is held by 4 prongs and set in a rhodium plated brass frame. The 1 7/8" camphor glass pendant suspends from a later 925 sterling silver 18" double rope chain. Although the 2mm center stone is dulling, it still flashes a sparkle, when you least expect it. The back shows the rivet firmly in place and the sharply cut "spokes" are evident. Needs a polish...

This brass necklace is Circa 1870 with one genuine Egyptian scarab beetle showing it's multi green copper 'metallic' looking iridescent hues still present after these 130 years! A small blue lace agate was added to the 1 1/2" charm. All metal is precious (never is plated cable used here!)and is carefully shaped through each bead to deter against loss. Both this metal and the coral's value keeps going up. The latter due to conservationists' continued restrictions...

Look carefully as this may well be a very early as found example of a Victorian smaller neck Barrel Clasp Graduated Faceted from 8 to 17 mm Rich Red Cherry Amber choker bead necklace. It appears that at some early point the Original 14.5" choker was made longer to 16" when one of the earlier owners may have added eight 6mm faceted citrine color cut glass beads, still retaining its early super condition cherry amber barrel clasp.
