Art Deco Egyptian Revival Brass Bookchain festoon necklace with 5 oval pierced pressed red glass oval drops found at the same estate of a collector who collected very theatrical jewelry. It along with the turquoise color one were acquired some 15 years ago. This type of book chain festoon necklace ending in a decorative fold over clasp were often seen worn by Victorian women as well. Again, one can almost see this in some silent movie of decades past.....

Is chased, engraved and with applied granulation. 3" X 2.25" in very good condition in rich silver color with age appropriate patina in crevices. Has Not been polished and no issues.
