Is it any wonder that the Arts Crafts & later the Modernist artist jewelry makers gravitated to silver and semi precious stones? One reason could be the need to avoid pretentiousness, but maybe because the lower cost of materials was more appealing to the artist. That is not the case now as silver has more than tripled in the last few years. This bracelet's price just covers studio hours to make this, but did not include the cost for materials!
