High American standard 14K gf was used to hand shape the ancient spiral design and bail enhancer hook. The 25X39 mm etched horse carnelian agate bead etched in faraway lands and the USA hand wrought metal yields a 2 3/8" pendant that weighs 11 Grams. The etching is achieved with what appears to be sandblasted and it is highly polished.

What is high American standard 14K gold fill? While most others are merely thinly plated or coated, American high standard must be a thick solid 14K Gold tube! It is then filled with another metal. It will last for decades with soft T shirt cloth polishing if desired. This is higher than vintage work often done in 12Kgf, and that jewelry has lasted these 80 years. Imagine how many more decades 14 will last!
