This 76 gram large highly ornate bracelet for the small wrist stamped: PERUZZI BOSTON STERLING on the ornate wide "J" hook so seen on the pieces from the GINO M. PERUZZI Jewel Shop of Boylston St. Boston, MA, was made nearby during the 2nd quarter of the 20th century. Mrs. '*', a devout patron and collector of signed MIMI DEE HANDMADE STERLING metalwork jewelry, has seen Gino M. boxes in local antique shops. In these parts one hears stories about the Parenti/Peruzzi sisters. Could it be that the sisters may have been the actual jewelry artists? Mrs. * collector added that her father "who was like most traditional Italian men from the old country of that time would have 'run the shop' while the women did the actual work out back...", her words, not ours. So ladies and gentlemen is that the answer to the mystery of the American family of the silver jewelry makers' name beginning with a 'P'??? Anyone who claims that these USA pieces are not as 'fine' as those made by the vintage or current European counterparts or as fine as Cini's (also currently made by his descendents)), has not owned enough Bost* Made ones such as this one here. This bracelet demonstrate a rich collectible arts crafts/'studio' flavor! PS, another collector who frequented both jewelers' stores (located side by side on Boylston St) said that they were known to produce quite unusual, rivalry driven work back in the mid 20th century.
