About 20 years ago I fell in love with a limited fancy raw book chain length. Remembering Miriam Haskell's warm toned metals and looking through my 1000s of antique buttons, a few raw yards and findings were selected to take to the platers, so that they could reproduce the same rich gilt look of the Victorian buttons and as close to that of Haskell's. Being told that it would require a heavy 24K antiqued process, there was no other choice. Now 20 years later, one but has to look at the high end catalogs arriving at our mailboxes to see that jewelry designers are plating like rich tones, perhaps looking for something new, but more likely to avoid the high precious metal prices. Here at www.mimideeartwear.com, you can find my one of a kind signed work at much, much better price points!

Update: See image #2 for an additional Victorian 30mm antique jewel, brass and celluloid open work unaltered button - a separate purchase. Serious collectors can remove the "hook" leaving the piece intact and ready for your exhibition competition cards.
