Pictured here this 1900 Antique rare very desirable special George N. Steere lucky dragon heavy sash brooch not to be seen anywhere else and nothing as substantial is sold.
Twice the size as others with the unusual mixed era motifs and rich hammered finish unlike some that display a dull flat look.
Amber color glass piece with his early maker's mark of GS. Highly coveted and rarely found bold...
42 grams and 3 3/4" dragon or chimera hammered Arts Craft sash ornament pin with the original C catch and stamped signed with the earliest maker's mark GS on an applied lozenge.
Classic Steere with his 2 applied green eyed dragons, holding up a faceted 25mm X 15mm cognac amber color glass stone, hammered Arts Crafts convex surfaces and those "handkerchief" corners of his. The outline has a Deco butterfly ish shape.

Here he really mixed his motifs and fused the Nouveau critters to Arts Crafts onto the Deco era. Nice heft at 42 grams. The chimera have teenie 1mm emerald green glass balls for eyes! It has all the bells and whistles and showing that someone enjoyed wearing this fab brooch often: some dulling of the stone expected for age, metal may need some polishing or cleaning.
