In her USA studio, Ms Dee hand knotted 28 1/2" necklace strand of 9mm almost round rich Praline Bronze Cocoa color real fresh water pearls with hints of mauve hues, then finished with a pre fab 22K Gold on sterling silver vermeil metal to which she added as her Gift a removable pendant enhancer which she handwrought of the firmer 14K gf, later adding a 10mm purplish praline pearl within and signed it MIMI DEE. The earrings, a separate purchase are 1 5/8, all metal is 22K Gold on sterling Vermeil can not be purchased alone - take set and save. This 24" hand knotted necklace strand of 7-8mm natural color high luster pink fresh water pearls with hint of peach and mauve hues was finished with a pre fab 22K Gold on sterling silver vermeil metal. Then Mimi used 'Austro Hungarian' Victorian style same content metal, another pearl and red garnets to assemble as a gift a 1 3/4" removable pendant enhancer, which can be worn on a chain or other beads. ONLY ONE LIKE THIS! One day an antiques dealer, knowing of Mimi's penchant for creating huge necklaces with found odd objects, said, '...here Mim I'd like to see you make a necklace with this...'. She did! The Malachite or Turquoise like color, c 1930 carved thermoset blue green swirl early plastic 7.7 Ounce, 222 Gram, 3 1/4" X 2" Beetle paperweight (?) was used without altering the found beetle one bit to create a most unusual necklace using 14K rolled gold filled (highest quality American Standard gf), fancy paperclip chain & 12 faceted 10mm Blue Tiger Eye Gemstone Beads to compliment the colors on the carved scarab. If you prefer, ask Ms. Dee to undo and 'redo' this one in Sterling Silver for you, at a fee of course. Or if you are just interested in the carved thermoset beetle, She can 'cut it loose for you' and the price can be adjusted down for you as it is still intact and in its original state.
