$50 - 5X7" matted $7 US Mail/ins 100% will benefit Lazarus House food bank
|
100% (with US CK or MO)will be donated to local food bank: Lazarus House. These falls are not far from the artist's studio. The above is a print of the original W/C which was painted a few years back in early summer. This image is quite different than the one seen in the national news coverage of the Mother's Day flood 2006 extensive and serious flooding of this Methuen MA river dam. Today, the 140 year old granite structure appears to be holding steady. IMAGE DESIGN TEXT CONTENT OWNED BY MIMI DEE. A funny side note: 2 foot carp were found swimming in the then flooded playing field nearby! 100% of the 1st $50 signed print will go to a local food bank and shelter that is still damaged by the 2006 flood. PS. the trees on the right have since been removed to create a sidewalk along the river!Ms. Dee has exhibited and sold at Andover Artist Guild Show in the Park, Haverhill Art Association shows, Reading Art Association Shows and sold her paintings and other artwork in her own previously open Methuen studio store gallery.

Matted 5 X 7" signed print by Mimi Dee taken from her original watercolor which she entered in one of Reading Art Association's Fall Exhibit and Sale. This is Memorial Park in Methuen, MA. Nearby stood the George Washington Monument by sculptor Thomas Ball commissioned by the eccentric Searles, who as a young man in the 1800s moved to NYC to be an antique dealer designer. He later marryied the very rich much older widow Mary Frances Sherwood Hopkins (of railroad fame). The George Washington statue was sold and now stands in Forest Lawn Cemetery in CA. How Searles turns in his grave! Eventually he built for himself both Methuen's and Salem NH's heavily walled castles named for his family name. Seen in background is the First Congregational Church which boasts a fine expansive stain glass window by John LaFarge. It was rebuilt in the 19th century, still with a cornerstone dated 1689 This Image Design Text Content & Concept owned by MIMI DEE and protected by copyright laws. She has exhibited and sold at Andover Artist Guild Show in the Park, Haverhill Art Association shows, Reading Art Association Shows and sold her paintings and other artwork in her own previously open Methuen studio store gallery.
