Mexican Mid century moderne 10.7 ounce 304 grams! Hefty hammered footed dish stamped: Listed silversmith S. dela Serna, Sterling 925, Hecho en Mexico and a faint 24 assay mark for this listed silversmith. Concave 10 X 6.25 X 1/2" tall which includes three 12mm ball 'feet'. Super vintage condition with the usual faint lines and hammer marks normal for this handmade method. Reticulated chased punched Aztec Maya pre Columbian figural serpent idol motif sterling silver pin pendant signed: P Lugo Plata Artistica Taxco Mexico 925 & looks like assay #3 or 5. Floral Bow Reminds one of Matilde Poulat 'unmatched' turquoise, stamped 22 assay shared by Fred Davis, Bernice Goodspeed, Antonio Pineda et. al., it is no doubt in good Taxco Silversmiths' company! 9 florals have multi blue & green color 4 mm turquoise centers. 3 1/8" X 1 7/8" and in untouched unpolished condition, yet will lightly hand cloth polish FREE when requested. Vintage mid century expertly chased, engraved sombrero hat dish by well known Mexican, well listed silversmiths and signed with the maker's mark: L. Maciel; Made in Mexico; Sterling 0.925. Sanborns was the other well known maker of same. Look for the eagle and snake motifs. This is just under 6"X2&3/4" and weighs 5.6 Ounces of sterling or 160 grams on a postal scale.
