Vintage Antique difficult to find Japanned Mounting Victorian Mourning Cameo lava or jasper ware type stone Pin Brooch with old C catch. Lovely face profile with grapes on her forehead and leaves in her hair. Open work mounting @ 1 5/8 X 1 1/4" and 1/4" thick. Appropriate amount of japanned finish off the "C" catch, stem and hinge. Having had other EA Bliss, this reminds one of this maker's work. Richly ornate. What wonderful pieces these Sash Ornament Buckle Pin Brooches can be! Note the 1" X .5" Turquoise Bezel Set center of the Glorious Gilt Gold engravings and etchings of flowers, leaves, scrolls for a total of just under 3" X 1.75" and weighs 1.1 Oz or 31 Grams. Very strong sturdy pin stem from an almost 'tube hinge' and wide "C" catch. Some gilt shows wear which is to be expected from a truly early piece such as this. Nice 20" Strand of Graduated Odd Bi-Cone shaped Crystal Color Necklace with wafers and black ones on a chain and an Old Clasp. The largest center one is 15 X 20 mm and the smallest is 10mm not counting the black tiny ones. This type of necklace will most often display some flea bites on some of the edges, are priced accordingly and why toss them aside just because of these tiny flaws? Equestrians! Very Desirable Collectible Sport Gilt Finish Pin with Reverse Painted Horse Intaglio first made popular as sporting jewelry in the mid 1850's on through to the early to mid 20th century. When louped, this background shimmers and there are No bubbles, leading one to surmise that this is Not glass. 2.5" long X .75" wide. The intaglio is 13mm across.
