Vintage Antique C 1900 period long bookchain necklace worthy of next jewelry book feature or as a costume prop for the next movie or theater production. Warm rich coppery brass ornate long 30.5" bookchain necklace with the look of Arts & Crafts ending in an oval pendant that holds a 1 1/2" poured faceted hunter green glass stone held in place by 4 claws. 32" around and weighs 2.7 Oz or 77 grams. Gold, sterling & goldfilled book chains are more common as they were saved for their precious metal value, while brass was commonly tossed aside, making this indeed a rare find. Pencil Marked "Wahl Eversharp" "Gold Filled" "Made in USA" and is a rosey gold color. Found attached to the Longchain & Swivel which is marked "D F B", an 18 or 24K finish and is 46" long with 8 faceted green glass stones channel set in beautiful 'beaded' mounting. The 3 3/8" pencil does have an old lead and while the beautifully chased engraved top turns freely, the lead seems to be immobile and may require a cleaning. Priced accordingly. Vintage Antique difficult to find Japanned Mounting Victorian Mourning Cameo lava or jasper ware type stone Pin Brooch with old C catch. Lovely face profile with grapes on her forehead and leaves in her hair. Open work mounting @ 1 5/8 X 1 1/4" and 1/4" thick. Appropriate amount of japanned finish off the "C" catch, stem and hinge. Nice 20" Strand of Graduated Odd Bi-Cone shaped Crystal Color Necklace with wafers and black ones on a chain and an Old Clasp. The largest center one is 15 X 20 mm and the smallest is 10mm not counting the black tiny ones. This type of necklace will most often display some flea bites on some of the edges, are priced accordingly and why toss them aside just because of these tiny flaws? Vintage Gilded Brass Sash Ornament with small C catch clasp, leaning toward the Art Deco direction, leading one to ponder perhaps this was late in the 'Sash wearing period'. Green Art Glass Cabochon with moonglow button affect swirls is bezel set at 7/8" X 1/2" yet embraced with 2 double claw decorative prongs. Lots of strong design. 3 3/4" X 1 3/4". Very Nice condition.
