Sold. This Saphiret art glass tan to aqua color change knotted 30" beads necklace sb earring set is early 20th century and have a shiny surface as opposed to the 19th century matte finish saphiret cabs. Each hand built bead is approx 8-13 mm and is a delight to see the color change from brick light red tan to aqua. The once rhodium or silver plated J hook shows the brass from age, while the sb 1" long earrings show some plating loss expected to metals that come close to one's skin. Look carefully as this may well be a very early as found example of a Victorian smaller neck Barrel Clasp Graduated Faceted from 8 to 17 mm Rich Red Cherry Amber choker bead necklace. It appears that at some early point the Original 14.5" choker was made longer to 16" when one of the earlier owners may have added eight 6mm faceted citrine color cut glass beads, still retaining its early super condition cherry amber barrel clasp.
